From the airport to the city center:
Fukuoka Airport is known as one of the few airports located within the city area in Japan. The Fukuoka City Subway provides direct connection – a mere 5-minute ride – to Hakata Station. Tenjin, the city center of Fukuoka, is only about 10 minutes away. There’s a shuttle service from the airport, which goes to Tenjin (about 35 minutes) and Hakata area (about 15 minutes) without transfer. More information is available at
